Precision Machining, Assembly, and Supply-Chain Management for Landing Gear Components

We specialize in the precision machining and assembly of complex components for nose and main landing gear systems supporting both military and commercial aerospace applications. Our in-house capabilities focus on high-accuracy CNC machining and assembly of critical parts such as piston rods, valve housings, drag braces, sleeves and cylinder assemblies.

Leveraging a network of qualified special-process partners, we manage all external processing — including heat treatment, surface finishing, coatings, and nondestructive testing — to provide customers with a fully turnkey manufacturing solution. Our team is adept at interpreting and executing customer flow-downs, developing detailed manufacturing plans, and selecting, qualifying, and managing suppliers in accordance with Approved Supplier List (ASL) requirements.

This disciplined, integrated approach ensures each component meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and compliance with AS9100 and NADCAP requirements. By combining advanced machining expertise with robust program management, we deliver ready-to-install landing gear components that meet the rigorous demands of modern aerospace programs

Leveraging Our Skills

To create high-quality nose landing gear orifice support tubes on time, we applied our machining skills, including:

  • Soft and hard milling and turning of difficult features:
    • Spline cutting
    • Hard ID and OD thread (interrupted) cutting
    • Deep hole drilling and honing
  • Chrome grinding to +/-.0001” tolerances and .0006” parallelism over 20”

We also maintained vendor management for special processes, including:

  • Supplying high-strength specialty alloys
  • Heat treating and straightening
  • Stress relief
  • NDT at various stages, including MPI, FPI and nital etch
  • Type I and II chrome plating
  • Shot peening
  • Cadmium plating
  • Painting
